Sneakers are a staple in every wardrobe. You can wear them almost everywhere and remain both comfy and cute. The only downside of a brand new pair of sneaks is that they usually take quite a few wears to break in.
For years, I accepted that fact and tossed Band-Aids into my purse for when the inevitable blister arose. But that all changed when I got my first pair of Golas.
Gola got its start over a century ago in a small English factory and has remained true to its British roots ever since. Now available at Nordstrom, Free People, Anthropologie and more retailers, as well as its own website, the footwear brand offers both casual and performance styles for men and women.
Personally, I favor the brand’s everyday sneakers, specifically the Dropshot and the Grandslam Trident styles. They come in a wide variety of colors without looking garish, and they’re extremely comfortable. I mean it when I say that they’re comfortable from the very first wear.
I also love the fact that Gola is a bit off the beaten path, so it’s rare to find anyone wearing the same shoe as me. I also get the most questions from my friends about Golas than any other sneaker I wear. Keep scrolling to shop six pairs of Golas that deserve a spot in your closet this season, starting at $70.
