No chance to shop over the weekend? Don’t worry. There are still plenty of Black Friday bed deals live – until the end of the day, at least!

We spotted many, many discounts on bed sheets, weighted blankets, mattresses and bed frames over Black Friday weekend, with plenty of retailers going all out and topping their offers from last year with even more money off for 2021.

And the sale season isn’t over just yet. Today is Cyber Monday, the last day of the big discount weekend, with most deals ending at midnight. That makes today your last chance to take advantage of big price cuts before Christmas.

Purchasing luxe bedding or a comfy new mattress is always a good idea during sale season. A good night’s sleep keeps your mental and physical wellbeing in check and you’re much more likely to feel productive and motivated when you wake up. After all, we spend up to a third of our life in bed, so it pays to invest in this important bit of kit.

As a result, though, the best quality beds and mattresses do tend to run on the pricey side – it’s not unusual for a top name bed/mattress/bedding combo to set you back well over £2,000. That means that, if you're wanting to upgrade your sleep game, the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales make the best time to do it. There are usually big discounts of up to 50% off some of the UK’s best bed and mattress brands (Simba and Emma mattress, we’re looking at you), so you can bag a top-quality item at a much more purse-friendly price.

Check below to see the best Cyber Monday bed deals and Cyber Monday mattress deals for 2021.

When is Black Friday 2021?

Pop it in your diaries – the Black Friday sale starts at one minute past midnight on Friday 26 November, and will last until the end of Monday 29 November, otherwise known as Cyber Monday. There are usually deals leading up to the big event though, so make sure you check GH regularly for the best offers.

What should I look out for in the Black Friday bed sales 2021?

It can help to know exactly what you’re after in the Black Friday bed sales. After all, everyone has different needs when it comes to sleep!

For starters, it is important to find a mattress that works for you. Do you struggle with backache and need a firm mattress? Or are you looking for something soft and squishy to sink into, like a memory foam option? Think about this before you make your purchase; these are big ticket items, so it’s worth getting it right to maximise the benefits of the discount season.

It’s worth thinking about style too. Bedding can change the entire aesthetic of a room, so consider whether you want bright prints or a minimal tone to suit the rest of your sleeping quarters. If you prefer a neutral look to keep it timeless and chic, opt for a cream or nougat colour. We like these organic cotton bedcovers from John Lewis. If you’re feeling adventurous, go for a bold print like this eye-popping tropical print from Made. Hopefully we’ll be able to bag some discounts on these over the shopping weekend.

What is Black Friday?

Black Friday is the biggest shopping event of the year and an opportunity to grab loads of bargains from your favourite brands. Retailers such as John Lewis, Amazon and Debenhams cut their prices on thousands of products, including furniture, appliances, gadgets and clothing.

Black Friday originated in the States and came across the pond in 2013 when Amazon launched the UK’s first Black Friday sale. Now, it’s one of the most important retail dates of the year. The hype is showing no sign of slowing down, so we’re crossing our fingers that this year will be no different and we’ll be able to bag some hefty discounts on our Christmas shopping list.

What were the Black Friday bed deals for 2020?

Plenty of our favourite suppliers, such as Benson for Beds and Very, dropped their prices on loads of top-quality products last year. Woolroom had a big sale on bedding bundles, offering a double bed set including a mattress topper, two pillows and a duvet for £175, rather than £291. Kally Sleep also treated us to 70% off across its range of lines – including this weighted blanket!

We saw plenty of great offers on mattresses too. Dreams dropped a massive discount on this Reviva mattress, reducing it from £1,119 to £479. John Lewis treated us to some mattress discounts too, with 20% off selected products.
