I've been a Black Friday follower since it was purely an offline, retail affair, preceded only by newspaper circulars that would arrive on Thanksgiving Day. Times have changed, of course, but the deals? They're still pretty sweet. Some of the best of the year, in fact. Below I've rounded up 10 of the best Black Friday 2022 tech deals, as chosen by yours truly. I've tested the vast majority of these products; they wouldn't be here if they weren't great. Buy them for yourself or start knocking people off your holiday gift list!
If you haven't yet hopped on the air-fryer bandwagon, this is the time: The top-rated Proscenic T21 is on sale for $79, a $51 savings. It has a 5.8-quart non-stick basket, which is large enough for a family-size batch of french fries (among other foods), and a digital touch panel with various controls and presets. The Wi-Fi feature is kind of pointless, to be honest, but even ignoring that, this is a killer deal on a spacious, versatile cooker.
Photos shouldn't live on your phone; they should be on display in your home, where you can enjoy them! Aura's Carver, on sale at an all-time-low price, is the best digital photo frame to give as a gift, because you can not only pre-load it with images, but also preconfigure it for the recipient's Wi-Fi network. That's especially great if you're getting this for tech-challenged parents or grandparents. New photos can be sent via app or email, and Aura provides unlimited storage with no monthly fees.
A must-have for the modern home, this adapter turns two outlets into six, all of them surge-protected, three of them smart. That means you can use GHome's companion app to remotely control three devices, set timers for them and so on. It works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant as well, so most of those smart skills can be voice-activated. Oh, this thing also has three USB ports for charging your mobile devices. Hard to beat for $14, the lowest price on record.
There's something magical about turning a wall into a movie screen. One minute it's an empty slab of sheetrock; the next, a 100-inch theater showing the latest Marvel movie. Even better is when you can move this magic outside to your driveway or backyard. The Xgimi Elfin mini projector packs everything you need into a flat, compact package. It's my favorite "instant home theater" projector to date, mostly because it's the easiest to use. And with the on-page $170-off coupon, you're getting one of the best deals on it to date.
Love to read? Treat yourself to a distraction-free experience courtesy of the 11th-generation Kindle Paperwhite. Promising up to 10 weeks of battery life, it can accompany you on the longest vacations. I especially love the "warm light" option, which transitions the display from, well, "paper white" to an eye-pleasing amber. This is already a historic-low price, but you can also get 10% cash back, instead of the usual 5%, if you pay with an Amazon Prime Visa card.
There's something deeply satisfying — and, yeah, a little disturbing — about emptying the Tineco Carpet One's dirty-water tank. So that's how filthy your carpet was? Well, not anymore. This powerful machine shampoos rugs, stairs, upholstery and more, and does a damn fine job of it. It's probably my favorite new appliance of 2022. Use promo code RICKTINECO to slash a whopping $150 off the price, the biggest discount to date.
Make the great outdoors even greater with your favorite playlists! I tested a lot of outdoor speakers this year, and this one was my favorite. The StormBox Blast shares some DNA with old-school boomboxes, but features nifty LED lighting and seriously big sound. The battery lasts up to 30 hours and can even charge your smartphone if needed. You don't even have to take my word for it; check out the 4.8-star average user rating.
Power outages happen. If a gas generator isn't a good option for you, consider Bluetti's robust, expandable battery backup. It's loaded with outlets of all kinds, including a NEMA TT-30 for use in RVs, and it supports multiple recharging methods, including optional solar panels. Add one or two extra Bluetti batteries and you could just about run a whole house with this thing. Clip the on-page $300-off coupon to get this historic-low price.
