The best après-ski in Morzine
One of the livelier French resorts, Morzine’s après scene is pretty happening, especially by French standards. Several places around the base area get busy as the slopes empty, before the party moves on to bars and clubs nearer the resort centre.
For further Morzine inspiration, see our guides to the resort's best accommodation, restaurants and après ski.
Café Chaud
Tucked away in the Chemin de la Coutettaz, Café Chaud starts off the evening as a bar and modest restaurant before turning into a full-blown venue with music that varies from blues to acid jazz and house, popular with the resort’s seasonaire crowd.

The Cavern
In the middle of town near the tourist office, The Cavern is open from 4pm till 2am with happy hours from 4pm to 6pm, occasional fancy dress parties, and enough shots to keep the dancing going into the wee small hours.

The Wine Bar
The Chaudanne restaurant is a smart rendezvous and home to The Wine Bar, the perfect cave with a vaulted stone ceiling, thousands of bottles, a sommelier on hand for advice, and a tapas menu. No dancing on tables here, just serious quaffing.

Le Tremplin
At the bottom of the main Pleney slopes, après on the terrace at Hotel Tremplin kicks off from 4pm daily. There’s live music, DJs and an outdoor bar – its prime location attracts some of the biggest après crowds in the resort.

Coup de Cœur
On the main square Coup de Cœur is a wine bar with a large terrace – an ideal spot for soaking up the late-season sunshine and watching skaters on the resort’s ice rink, opposite.
