The best après-ski bars in Lech
Although not as rowdy as St Anton, there are plenty of options to choose from in Lech, ranging from noisy dives to smart lounges. Generally speaking, it’s a resort which is better suited to more sophisticated, cocktail-sipping types.

Schlegelkopf
A swanky mountain restaurant at 1,800m with a big terrace with lounging sofas, Schlegelkopf has great views and an extensive wine and whisky list. It fits the bill for a glamorously long lunch of steak or sushi that turns into early après with DJs or live music, or just stopping off on the way home. It’s open until 5pm, and from here it’s a blue piste back to Lech – non-skiers can up- and download on the Schlegelkopf chairlift.

The Eisbar/The Cottage Pub
Outside Hotel Tannbergerhof, the Eisbar is the best place in town to go for a glühwein and a lively time with music straight from the slopes. Later on, The Cottage Pub underneath the hotel keeps the party going until 2.30am with DJs and occasional live bands. Loosely tagged as an Irish pub, it’s popular with a younger crowd including seasonaires, and has Guinness on tap.

K-Club
Resident DJ T Cane gets the dance floor moving at the upmarket K-Club at the five-star Krone hotel, open from 10pm until 4am. For the best view of the beautiful people, and easy access to champagne, book a booth in the VIP area close to the bar in advance. If that’s all a bit late, get the same effect après ski, sipping an Aperol Spritz or glass of fizz at the ice bar on the hotel’s terrace.

Krone Ice Bar
A stylish venue at the central five-star Hotel Krone at Lechback, opposite the Schlegelkopfbahn, the Krone Ice Bar terrace is a popular meeting point for those with deep pockets who want to people-watch over a glass or two of fizz.
