Compared to the likes of Italy and France, Austria is the undisputed Alpine king of après, and one of the big attractions of Kitzbühel is its buzzing nightlife scene. During January’s Hahnenkamm races weekend, the atmosphere is particularly boisterous, with, if regulations permit, street parties and live music stages popping up within the medieval walls.

For further Kitzbühel inspiration, see our guides to the resort's best accommodation and restaurants.

The Londoner

Kitzbühel’s long-established British pub, The Londoner has been entertaining party animals for decades. Launched in December 1976 by music promoter Rik Gunnell, it has since gone from strength to strength with live music and DJs throughout the season.

Pavillon

Right next to the Hahnenkamm gondola station and train station, Pavillon is open daily from 2pm to 10pm. The circular wooden bar has all the authentic charm you’d expect and serves all the usual après tipples, from schnapps to Aperol spritz. Revellers enjoy dancing on tables and the nail game (a popular après game involving hitting a nail into a tree stump with a hammer).
