October Mist, a gentle shade of sage, is Benjamin Moore's Colour of the Year for 2022.

Green is a foundational colour and the perfect canvas to formulate endless colour combinations. Calming and refreshing, this harmonious, earthy and nature-inspired hue – evoking the silver-green stem of a flower – is an ideal way to refresh your interiors.

The Benjamin Moore Colour & Design team selected October Mist 1495 as a celebration of our relationship with the home and how we have adapted to express individuality within our personal space.

'As our homes continue to evolve and we explore and express our own individualities, it was important this year that the Colour of the Year serves different functions and styles,' says Helen Shaw, UK Director, Benjamin Moore. 'October Mist and the surrounding palette reflects the natural environment and draws on inspiration from calmer surroundings – whilst also allowing the user to create an abundance of unique combinations for any paint project.'

Colour Trends 2022 palette

October Mist anchors and uplifts, making it pretty adaptable for every room in the home. It sits within a harmonious and earthy palette of 14 hues, so you can pair this colour with organic tones, all of which encourage reconnection with nature to amplify the message of creative expression.

Collectively, it's a warming palette of earthy, liveable tones which are easy to introduce into your living space, from calming sage to plaster pink and inky blue to sunshine yellow.
