Beauty brand Benefit has told customers to stop using its bestselling eyebrow gel amid fears of eye irritation.

The company’s famous Gimme Brow eyebrow gel comes in three different shades and is used by tons of people across the UK.

Benefit has told customers to stop using the product and return it to the store for an exchange or full refund. This applies whether you have a sample or full-sized product or one that’s part of a gift set.

The brand says they haven’t actually received any complaints about the tinted brow gel but are concerned that it may be harmful to eyes.

“Benefit Cosmetics is committed to the highest levels of quality and doing what’s right for our customers,” a statement on the company’s website reads.

“Out of an abundance of caution, we are initiating a voluntary recall of our Gimme Brow product after discovering that recent batches of the product did not meet our stringent quality standards.

“If applied in its normal usage on the brows, the Gimme Brow product doesn’t involve any risk. However, if it comes into contact with the eyes, it could lead to eye irritation.”

It appears that most major retailers have stopped selling the product – both in-store and online.
