Ben Shephard shows off 'new tattoo' that will horrify his family as star shows off ripped arms
This Morning viewers were shocked when Ben Shephard rolled up his sleeve to reveal a band-new 'tattoo' on Wednesday’s edition of the ITV show. But they might not be the only ones who are surprised by the inking - which didn't look entirely real. Ben joked that he could be in trouble with his mum, who is not a fan of body art, and admitted that his new tattoo “could have ramifications”.
The show was running a feature on a men’s group The Council Of Bens, a club you can only join if your name is Ben and who raise money for charity. Several dozen Bens came into the studio and towards the end of the feature, one of them rolled up his trouser leg to reveal a ‘Ben’ tattoo he’d had done.
It was red and black design in the style of a rubber stamp that read ‘Hello my name is Ben’. Guest Ben revealed that still hadn't told his mum about his body art and apologised to her on air.

Presenter Ben then made a confession. After admitting that he found the other Ben’s tattoo “fetching”, he confessed, “I thought I should get one” – before rolling his sleeve to reveal a similar tattoo on his bicep!
“I haven't told my mum either,” Ben went on to confess. “And when my son came back from traveling with a tattoo my mum disowned him, so this could have ramifications!”
Luckily for Ben – and much to the relief of his mum, no doubt – the tattoo was only a fake one which Ben had put on to give viewers a jokey ending to the feature. The joke tattoo did, however, gave fans a look at Ben’s impressively toned arms. “@benshephard flexing his guns,” one viewer noted.

The star is well known for his dedicated fitness regime and strong physique. The dad of two has completed a variety of extreme events for charity, including ultra-triathlons, coast-to-coast challenges and summiting Mount Kilimanjaro.
Earlier this month, Ben debuted a change of look as he and co-host Cat Deeley returned to This Morning after their summer break with the TV favourite revealing that he has grown a beard.
As the pair returned , Ben stroked his new beard and said “I’ve had a very fertile chin experience this summer” to which Cat declared: “I like the beard!”.
The show ran then ran a poll where 54% of viewers voted that Ben should ditch the beard, while 46% said he should keep it, to which Ben said, "The people have spoken" and confirmed he will be shaving the beard, with the presenter now back to his clean-shaven look.
