Bella Hadid loves a throwback trend as much as, if not more than, the next stylish celeb. From flares and friendship necklaces, to double denim and Y2K-inspired mesh tops, the model definitely knows how to make a case for rediscovering nostalgic fashion staples. Sometimes, her styling makes us even ask ourselves why we stopped wearing said items in the first place.
Her latest retro look, though, is a divisive one and, for many of us, it will always feel too soon. Remember Von Dutch? Yep, well, Bella's rocking jeans emblazoned with the iconic logo like it's 2002 and it's a blast from the past alright.
Bella shared a mini photoshoot (with some trippy video effects, might we add) to Instagram, showing the model wearing an outfit that looks straight out of The OC. The look consists of a red striped t-shirt unbuttoned to create a deep V neckline, accompanied by a pair of low-rise, wide-leg Von Dutch jeans with the bright yellow logo on the leg. I feel like this is exactly what teenagers wore to house parties on TV and/or IRL, right?
As for accessories, Bella finished the 'fit with jewellery from the same era, including a pair of oversized hoop earrings, layered necklaces and stacked bangles.
The model captioned the post "besos" (which is Spanish for 'kisses', FYI), and, like, is it just me, or is she kinda rocking it?
Yep, Bella Hadid can make practically anything look chic. While I'm still pretty sure that my Von Dutch days are firmly behind me, who knows how we'll feel about the brand in the next year? Never say never, right?
