Bella Hadid gets real about her new outlook on drinking

So many of us out there have an up and down relationship with alcohol: particularly after the impact that pandemic drinking had on us all during lockdown. However, thankfully, there is more of a growing conversation around sobriety, meaning that whether you have decided to go sober from alcohol completely or just cut back what you consume, we can all feel empowered to make decisions about our drinking to ultimately help us feel better and do what feels right for us as individuals.

A whole host of celebrities are leading the charge of alcohol transparency. Whether it's Chrissy Teigen sharing her one year sober anniversary on social media or Anne Hathaway getting real about her decision to cut out alcohol for 18 years, celebs are opening up and breaking the stigma around sobriety.

The latest celeb to talk all about their relationship with alcohol? Supermodel Bella Hadid. In conversation with InStyle about the company she co-founded, non-alcoholic beverage brand Kin Euphorics, the fashion trailblazer did not hold back when it came to discussing how she approaches alcohol nowadays.

As it turns out, the model has previously relied on alcohol to help with anxieties, but nowadays is prioritising how her brain and mind feels. "Over the years, I've always found myself reverting to alcohol when I feel low energy, or my anxieties start to come up," she said. "I've really scaled back my alcohol consumption this year and have made brain care my ultimate priority."

And while Bella isn't sober quite yet, she's learned to help scale things back and approach alcohol with an "everything in moderation" mindset. "Moderation is everything for me," Bella shares. "While I rarely get 'drunk' anymore, I've completely stopped drinking hard alcohol… I have learned what my body can and can't handle. I'm a 'glass of Champagne and head home' kind of girl."
