Bee Shaffer's Italian wedding dress was as stylish as you would expect
Bee Shaffer, the daughter of American Vogue editor Anna Wintour, has married Francesco Carrozzini, the son of the late Italian Vogue editor Franca Sozzani. The couple officially tied the knot at Wintour's Long Island home earlier this month, before having a second wedding in Portofino, Italy this week.
Although there was a strict media ban at the US-based nuptials (and there, so far, has been no leaked coverage on social media), the second wedding was far more public, meaning that we were able to get a full look at the bride's beautiful ensemble.
On this occasion, the couple said "I do" for a second time at the town's small San Giorgio church in front of a few friends and family.
In a predictably stylish move, Shaffer turned to Italian heavyweights Dolce & Gabbana to create her beautiful lace gown. The V-neck, ivory, lace, ankle-length dress was paired with gold Manolo Blahnik strappy sandals and a cross necklace. The finishing touch was an intricately embroidered lace veil. The groom meanwhile looked even more dapper than usual, opting for a double-breasted navy suit.
We still don't know which designer Shaffer chose for her first wedding or what the gown looked like. However, it is expected that we may get to see the fashionable Long Island nuptials in Shaffer's mother's magazine at some point this summer.
Later in the day, the couple was later seen visiting Sozzani's grave. While Carrozzini had by then changed into jeans and a T-shirt, Shaffer was still in her wedding gown but had removed her veil. Sozzani sadly passed away in December 2016 after a battle with lung cancer.
It was made public that Shaffer and Carrozzini were dating in 2016, but they had reportedly been together for some time when the news broke.
