Don’t get us wrong, when Easter Sunday arrives on 4 April, we’ll be sitting on the sofa scoffing down novelty chocolate all day. But this year we’ll also be unwrapping an egg of a different kind.
Much like beauty Christmas crackers and advent calendars, beauty Easter eggs have become popular, filled with minis or full-size skincare and make-up products to enjoy. They’re the perfect gift for someone special, or youself, who’s not that fussed on chocolate.
Filled with goodies, from cult favourites in the beauty sphere to new finds from smaller, independent brands, it’s the perfect way to top-up your routine and try products you may be new to.
For the fifth year in a row, beauty retailer lookfantastic has launched a beauty egg packed with high-end luxury brands such as Elemis and Eve Lom. The contents are worth £230, but it can all be yours for just £65.
We've got all the details on what’s inside, when it launches and how to get your hands on it. But that’s not all.
It’s not the only beauty Easter egg available this year, with other cosmetics brands getting in on the action. So we’ve rounded up all the others available to shop now as well.
You can trust our independent round-ups. We may earn commission from some of the retailers, but we never allow this to influence selections. This revenue helps us to fund journalism across The Independent.

L’Occitane verbena beauty Easter egg: £16, Loccitane.com
On a slightly smaller scale is L’Occitane’s offering, with the french skincare brand offering two different beauty eggs to choose from.
This one has hero products from the popular, lemon-scented verbena range. There is a 70ml shower gel, a 30ml body lotion and a 10ml hand cream inside, sweetly packaged in a fun, egg-shaped tin that you can use for storage too.
We’re big fans of L’Occitane’s gift sets here at IndyBest – the brand’s clean and nourish hands duo was featured in our guide to the best gifts for teachers.
L’Occitane cherry blossom beauty Easter egg: £16, Loccitane.com
The second beauty egg from L’Occitane is this fresh for springtime cherry blossom-scented set. Also containing a 75ml shower gel, 35ml body lotion and 10ml hand cream, it looks pretty in pink.

Lush golden egg lift: £36, Lush.com
For a luxurious lift to your bath and shower time, Lush’s Easter egg is overflowing with products to leave skin soft and you feeling relaxed.
All scented with sweet chocolate or fresh florals it’s, dare we say it, better than any chocolate egg. There’s an essential oil bath bomb, lavish bath melt, soothing shower gel, bubble blower and skin-softening body butter.
As with anything from Lush, it’s eco-friendly credentials are just as important as the products themselves. It comes in a recycled box, wrapped in ribbon made from recycled plastic bottles and is packed with biodegradable eco pops to keep it safe during transport.
Bubble and Blossom Easter egg bath bomb set of 3: £5.50, Bubbleandblossom.com
Speaking of baths, this trio of Easter egg bath bombs is the perfect accompaniment in the tub.
Shaped like the chocolate treats, they’ll add a colourful burst to your bathtime, an instant upgrade and perfect for a Stacey Solomon-inspired Instagram post.
It’ll also make a lovely, affordable gift for someone else if you’re not lucky enough to own a bath.
