BBC The Traitors: Who is Freddie?
WARNING: This article may contain spoilers from the recent episode of The Traitors
The last week of The Traitors is upon s, with fans undoubtedly eager to find out who will win the show's cash prize in the final episode. It has been an exciting series so far with the 10th episode, which was aired on Wednesday evening, confirming Freddie's doubts that Minah was in fact a Traitor.
But the excitement didn't end there as the remaining Traitor, Charlotte, had to choose a Faithful and offer them an ultimatum – either join her as a Traitor or be 'murdered' as a Faithful. Politics student Freddie was selected and reluctantly accepted Charlotte's offer to join as a Traitor. For the latest TV and showbiz gossip sign up to our newsletter.

So far in the series some players have cast their doubts over Freddie's faithfulness – long before he became a Traitor – but only time will tell if he will be able to shrug off those concerns in the last two remaining episodes. Before entering the castle the 20-year-old said that he would go "above and beyond" if he became a Traitor.
He added: "I think everyone who applies for this show knows that you've got to put your all into it. The end goal is to win the £120k for my family – not people I've known for a couple weeks. I think I'd always have that as a motivator. If I made a really good friend it would be a bit rubbish throwing them under the bus but if needs must then it has to be done. Sorry."
When asked whose game plan he admired most in second series, he said: "Harry, just because we're quite a similar age and obviously he won. I liked the way he played into the idea that you would never think it was him because he’s just a nice boy who’s young so people underestimated him. I also liked the Australian series two with Sam – the way he just got away with it time after time is crazy. He was such a character."
In the castle Freddie has spoken further about his personal reasons for joining the show. In the ninth episode the last remaining players revealed what they would do with the money. Freddie explained he would use the money to help his mum who has been a single parent since he was around five years old.
He said: "So I live at home with just me and my mum, and she's a single parent, and she's had so many jobs for the whole of her life. So first of all I would try and pay off some of her debt or just take her on holiday or give her something sweet like that. And then I'd also, if I want to do law school, I've got to pay for it myself so it would be putting money towards that."
Many fans have been discussing Freddie's mum with some even presenting a theory that his mum may also actually be on the show. Following a roundtable discussion Francesca voted for Freddie as she believed he was a Traitor.
The 44-year-old interior designer immediately burst into tears, which prompted Freddie to also cry. Since then there has been speculation that Francesca is Freddie's mum. However this theory may be flawed for a couple of reasons with the first being that Freddie is from Peterborough while Francesca is from East Sussex.
Secondly Francesca mentioned before heading into the castle that she has four sons while Freddie noted that, back home, it was just him and his mum. But as we've learnt through The Traitors' franchise history anything is possible.
The Traitors continues on BBC One this week at 9pm. You can catch up with the full series on iPlayer.
