After an epic series which has seen fake Welsh accents, a secret priest and dramatic late entries it is now time for th 2025e final of The Traitors on BBC One. This year is set to be very different as some new twists have been introduced to the show.

First, there was the bombshell that host Claudia Winkleman revealed in the very first episode. Once players are banished in the final they will no longer reveal if they are a faithful or a traitor. For the latest TV and showbiz gossip sign up to our newsletter.

Instead, it will be up to the remaining players when to end the game. This also works nicely with the other twist, the introduction of a seer. Being the seer gives the player chosen the power to pick any player and, just to them, they reveal if they are a faithful or a traitor.

As viewers saw in the most recent episode Frankie has been named as a seer and in a fantastic move, although she doesn't know it yet, Frankie picked the only traitor left in the game, Charlotte, as the person to reveal. This is set to add drama to the show as Frankie will now have to convince the other faithfuls that Charlotte is the traitor and Charlotte will have to defend herself against Frankie.

In episode nine the show dropped a massive clue about the introduction of the seer. As highlighted on The Traitors: Uncloaked, which is the spin-off show to The Traitors hosted by Ed Gamble, in episode nine a book with the title "The Seer" was shown on the bookshelf and is the book that Claudia used to open the secret room where Frankie was taken to make her decision over who to confront.

While Ed admitted he didn't know what was in the book, there was speculation about what would have happened if any of the players had read or noticed the book. Might it have contained any clues or directions as to what the seer would have to do, which would undoubtedly change the game.

Also talking on The Traitors: Uncloaked, last year's winner Harry Clark, said the twist of not revealing if they are a traitor or a faithful in the final would make it "so unpredictable".

He said: "It’s going to be so unpredictable of what’s going to happen, clearly, because I haven’t got a clue what’s going to go on. When it was like my series and series one with Wilf you can sort of work out that there must be one Traitor left, or two traitors left so once you get that traitor who stands up and says ‘I’m a traitor’ then you can sort of end the game.

"Now there’s no hope of knowing who’s who so I think if anyone’s got a grudge with anyone or they have one slight feeling that it’s anyone they’re just going to go for them and re-vote again." The finale of The Traitors airs at 8.30pm on BBC One on Friday, January 24.
