BBC Strictly Come Dancing star Sarah Hadland's surprising link to show judge revealed
Actress Sarah Hadland, adored by fans as the quirky Stevie Sutton in BBC's Miranda, is ready to dazzle on Strictly Come Dancing. The excited actress said, "I couldn't believe it when offered the opportunity to join Strictly Come Dancing's latest instalment." She also admitted: "I feel particularly excited to be part of such an iconic show in its 20th year," Sarah gushed. "I'm so ready for the glitz, glam and glitter and hopefully, I can make everyone watching at home proud! ".
Yet, little do fans know, Sarah has an intriguing connection to the shows infamously catty judge, Craig Revel Horwood. Although she wont enjoy any favouritism when it comes to her dance scores, spotting Craig's face after her performances will surely offer a dose of comfort during the thrilling yet nerve-wracking experience.
Their paths crossed previously when Sarah joined Craig on Richard Osman's House of Games Christmas Special in 2020. They tested their wits against ITV's Charlene White and comedian Alex Horne, answering trivia questions while observing the Covid-imposed social distancing rules, reports the Mirror. There was plenty of room, but that didn't keep Sarah from erupting into laughter when Craig amusingly guessed that the record time for swimming the English Channel was a whopping 3,000 minutes.

Since the end of her stint on the hit show Miranda, Sarah has been busy with roles in TV shows like Murder, They Hope and Daddy Issues. However, she's now swapping scripts for sequins as she joins the Strictly Come Dancing line-up, competing against punk legend Toyah Willcox, Olympic swimmer Tom Dean, and Love Island's Tasha Ghouri, who previously dated former show pro Giovanni Pernice.
"I can finally tell my mum because she's watching at home and she doesn't know I am doing it," Sarah revealed after the announcement. "Every year she says, 'Do you think you'll do it this year? ' and now I can say 'Yes, I will'."
