Ravneet Gill has insisted she won't be filling in Prue Leith's shoes on The Great British Bake Off, after previously stepping in for her on the junior version.

Earlier this year, Prue, 84, announced that she would no longer be a part of The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer, as she wanted more free time in her schedule.

Despite names such as Nigella Lawson and Juliet Sears being thrown into the mix, a new co-star for Paul Hollywood is yet to be announced.

When asked if she would consider taking on the role, Ravneet, 33, claimed she was too busy and added: "I'm sure they've filled the position already, let's just say.

"I'm sure they've got a roster of people waiting for that job. I'm really happy on the kids [GBBO] to be honest, I love the kids."

Ravneet took over from Prue on Junior Bake Off in 2020 and has since been judging the show with fellow Bake Off star Liam Charles.

Having been judged by Paul and Prue on The Great British Bake Off herself, she had nothing but praise for the pair.

"Paul has got the most mesmerising eyes I've ever looked into, that is true," she revealed, in association with Smart Energy GB.

"When you see them, I thought, no I'm not going to be captivated by them, but they are amazing."

"And Prue is like a wealth of knowledge, she is so intelligent and she's so worldly."

Prue has reassured fans that she is not leaving the show permanently, following concerns sparked by her announcement.

In a statement, she clarified: "I'm still doing The Great American Baking Show.

"I'm still doing The Great British Bake Off, the two main shows of Bake Off. What I'm not doing this year is the celebrity one.

"It's mainly because these things are filmed back to back. The whole way through the summer, so you start in April and you end at the end of August.

"Honestly, you get no time off. And, I'm getting a bit old and there's places I want to go."
