BBC Breakfast host Nina Warhurst has revealed she is pregnant with her third child.

The long-serving news presenter shared the happy news on Mother’s Day, as she debuted her sizeable bump in front of the iconic red sofa on the BBC One show.

She wrote on Instagram: "Happy Mother’s Day to all of those who are any part of this endless handover of love, values, genes, chaos and perpetually crumb-infested kitchens.

"I’d like to say 'you got this Mama!' But maybe you haven’t. I dunno. It’s hard isn’t it?"

In the candid post, Nina also shared a few snaps of her breakouts, unusual cravings as well as relaxed moments with her young children at home.

She wrote: "It’s been a funky few months… involving intense migraines, vomiting, morning kebabs, first time acne, small acts of violence against fruit, afternoon kebabs, tears, spontaneous snoozes, anxiety and more kebabs.

"I am settling in to the middle chunk (emphasis on chunk) and enjoying the wonders of Mother Nature and her tiny kicks and flutters.

"The boys and the cat have been enjoying their new chair. God willing, Baby Doner-Shish joins the outside world in the summer."

She finished the post: "Sending love to those who’ve had to say goodbye to the babies they lost and the ones they dreamed of."

It comes after Nina opened up in a short feature documentary about helping her father with dementia, after he was diagnosed with the degenerative brain condition in 2022.

Alongside her two sisters, Amy and Mel, Nina is caring for her elderly father as he navigates some of the symptoms of the condition.

She hoped to shine a light on the nature of caring for a loved one with dementia, what living with dementia is like and the impact it can have on the family.

BBC Breakfast airs daily from 6am on BBC One.
