Barack Obama Had The Best Reaction To Michelle Obama's Inauguration Hair And Belt Styling
Barack Obama appears to have been just as besotted with wife Michelle Obama's bouncy blow-dried curls and plum-coloured Inauguration Day 2021 suit as the rest of us.
In a video posted to Facebook earlier this week, the former POTUS took part in a conversation, hosted by Mahogany Books and the Very Smart Brothas Book Club, and answered a question about his famous wife's 'inauguration drip' on January 20.
Obama complimented his other half's striking three-piece, waist-cinching outfit (for which the best-selling author earned high praise on Twitter during the inauguration ceremony), which was dreamed up by Black designer Sergio Hudson, and noted that he understands why his wife is viewed as 'a fashion icon'.

'I don't know what it is about y'all, with Michelle and her belts, I asked Michelle about it at dinner the other night. I said, "Listen baby, you are gorgeous. You know, I understand completely why you are a fashion icon",' the father-of-two recalled.
The A Promised Land author added that despite knowing his wife has long been a source of sartorial inspiration across the globe, he couldn't quite comprehend why her recent inauguration look was received more passionately than others have been over the years.
'I said, "Was your hair different? Cause it didn't look that different",' he noted. Clearly the former politician didn't pick up on his wife's voluminous curls on first glance on the big day.
'Anyway, so I don't have an answer other than just knowing she looks good and looks better than me.'
For President Joe Biden's inauguration, the former First Lady received fashion help from stylist Meredith Koop, who took to Instagram to discuss the honour of dressing the mother-of-two.
'What I want to convey most, though, is that this particular outfit is about the woman wearing it more than anything. It is about her and what she means to you and to America,' an excerpt of the caption to a photo of the former First Lady reads.
'She is powerful and she needs to move. She is stunning and she represents what is possible. She is relatable and she is aspirational. She has consistently articulated over the years what has been in the hearts and minds of so many. She has taken a look at the rule book and turned the page. She leads, she inspires, she slays. [sic]'
