Will some bars ever learn that treating female clientele and employees like rubbish really doesn’t sell?

Over in Paris, a bar has fallen under heavy criticism for having a ‘breasts for shots’ offer – in other words, offering free drinks to women willing to be photographed with their boobs exposed.

The Wanderlust club in Paris’ 13th arrondissement got its just desserts when a customer spotted their (super-tactful) ‘Tits = shots’ sign behind the bar.

Tweeting a photo of it, feminist blogger Anne provoked a big reaction on social media.

While some dismissed the promotion as a bit of fun, others re-tweeted the message along with the concerns Anne raised.

These included whether women could really be consenting to the act considering the alcohol they could have consumed.

She also said that the nightclub breached these women’s “image rights” by displaying the women’s images so visibly on the board.

Wanderlust responded to the tweet, saying that “the photographs will be withdrawn immediately and we are studying sanctions against those responsible”.

They also wrote: “The Wanderlust team has just discovered these photographs and strongly condemns these unacceptable practices.”
