Dune, The Power of the Dog and Belfast are the blockbusters leading the way in this year's British Academy Film Awards nominations.

The 75th Bafta ceremony, which celebrates the very best in film of the past year, is being held at London’s Royal Albert Hall on March 13.

Benedict Cumberbatch, Leonardo Dicaprio and Will Smith are among the actors vying to take Best Leading Actor, with Lady Gaga, Alana Haim and Emilia Jones also jostling for the top spot of Leading Actress.

This year, across the performance categories, 19 of the 24 nominees have received their first Bafta Film nomination and all of the performers in the Supporting Actor category are first-time nominees.

In the Director category, there is an equal split of female and male nominees, and there has been an increase in the number of female directors nominated across all categories, up to 12 from eight in 2021.

Here is everything you need to know.
