We love a Babybel. I mean, how could you not? And now that we’ve heard the latest Babybel-based news, we’re in love with those little waxed-covered bad boys even more.

Babybel nets now not only contain six fat discs of rubbery cheesey goodness, they also have mini cheese melters in them!

Basically, it’s a teeny-tiny plastic dish, which is exactly the same size as our beloved Babybels. You simply remove the wax jacket, tuck the Babybel into the dish, stick it in the microwave, and et voila – a lovely, gooey little fondue.

Just think of the dipping opportunities. Mini breadsticks, crisps, crackers. And how about some healthy crudités? Carrot sticks, celery sticks, hell – dunk a damn radish in there. A cocktail sausage would be even better dipped in melted cheese, right? And if dipping and dunking’s not your thing, spread that it on a slice of crusty bread or pour over a baked potato.

Andddddddddd, now I’m starving.

Gaelle Vernet, group brand manager of Babybel, says: “Mini Babybel is already a beacon brand, ranking No.1 for top of mind, spontaneous and prompted awareness with both parents and young adults. The limited-edition launch of Babybel Mini Melters for winter is set to inspire further usage and drive volume by offering a fun new way to enjoy the No. 1 cheese snack format. Set to appeal to adults and kids alike, Mini Melters offer a new way to enjoy Mini Babybel’s natural cheese with no added colours or preservatives this winter.”

If you’re on the lookout for a net with a melting pot in your local supermarket, you can get hold of one in the Babybel six and 12 packs of its Original and Light. A six pack is £1.95, and a 12 pack costs £2.85.

They just landed in Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Co-op, Morrisons and Waitrose, so what are you waiting for?
