Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash have been forced to buy son Rex his very own dog bed - after he kept pinching the family pooch’s.

The unusual purchase may seem a bit strange, but as any parent will know, sometimes it’s easier to simply give in to what your child seems to like.

Young Rex has apparently taken a shine to canine Theo, and has taken to joining the dog while he naps in his dog bed.

So to allow the pup his own space, Solomon has treated her son, who the family affectionately call Pickle, to his very own version.

She then took to social media to share a video of Rex cosy in his new bed while watching Disney Pixar favourite Finding Nemo.

Captioning the story, Solomon wrote: "Joe bought the pickle his very own dog bed and it's safe to say he absolutely loves it.

"Him and Theo are settling down for the evening with Nemo."

The purchase comes just a couple of days after she shared a photo of Rex asleep taking up almost all of Theo’s bed, with the dog cuddle up next to him.

She captioned the photo: “We need to buy Rex his own dog bed I think. Now to try and peel him out of there silent ninja style and get him into his cot.”

Rex turned one in May, and while his mum and dad enjoy sharing their happy lives with fans on social media, they are honest that it isn’t all plain sailing.

Speaking to Solomon on her podcast back in December, Swash said: "I did resent you. But it's weird, because in any other situation, I would have probably of gone 'we just need to take some time apart, we need to have a little separation' that's how bad it was.”
