Fans of Philip Treacy or Stephen Jones’ magnificent hat designs can now get their hands on a bespoke creation, thanks to the London-based milliner Awon Golding and the animal-rescue foundation Wild at Heart.

The Haute Dogs Auction is “a one-of-a-kind fashion and fundraising event for dogs in need”, said Golding, whose counts Meghan Markle, Lady Gaga and Kylie Minogue amongst her adoring clients. All proceeds from the sales will be donated to assist Wild at Heart with its many international dog-rescue projects, the aim of which is to end the suffering of stray dogs all over the world.

The auction follows last year’s charming fundraiser, where 12 Wild at Heart rescue dogs modelled the hats in question for photographs featured in the colourful Haute Dogs 2021 calendar. The organisation’s founder Nikki Tibbles said: “We received endless requests from supporters wanting to buy the incredible hats and fascinators featured.” As a result, all 12 milliners – also including Louise Macdonald, Edwina Ibbotson, Aoife Kirwan and Golding herself – generously donated their exquisite designs to the charity.
