Awkwafina rose to prominence by singing a rap song about her vagina. It was very funny, but you're more likely to have become aware of the New York-raised star in what many consider her break-out role as the hilarious foil to Constance Wu's darling lead, playing Peik Lin Goh in Crazy Rich Asians.

Since then, the 33-year-old actor and comedian has had a succession of big roles, notably starring as Billi in The Farewell - a movie about a family who come together to be with a grandmother that doesn't know she is dying - and also as Katy in the newly released Marvel superhero film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

To celebrate the release of Shang-Chi, ELLE UK sat down with Awkwafina to play a game of 'Ask Me Anything', during which we put to her all the questions submitted by ELLE readers on Instagram.

The actor regaled us with behind-the-scenes stories of junk food snacking and 'pole work' jokes and told us which three Marvel characters she'd like to call BFFs.

She even let us in on how her grandmother feels about her dishy co-stars. You can watch all these stories and more, in the video above.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is out in cinemas in the UK now.
