Awesome Olympic facial hair

Ski jumper Robert Johansson may have immortalized himself in the pantheon of Olympic history by helping Norway to its first ever gold medal in men’s team ski jumping. He also won a pair of individual bronzes, for the men’s large hill and men’s normal hill individuals. But the 27-year-old Lillehammer native had already made a splash at the PyeongChang Games before he even strapped on his skies, thanks to his magnificent mustache. The perfectly trimmed, ginger turned-up bristles have been a hit on social media and the subject of gushing odes from journalists.

While Johansson most definitely tops the podium when it comes to Olympic facial hair, there are plenty of other hairy lipped contenders at the PyeongChang Games. Here is our honor roll of Olympic athletes sporting the strongest facial hair features at these Games.
