Authorities Come to the Rescue of Woman Whose Car Can't Stop on Ohio Highway
Authorities in Ohio released footage on May 28 showing a dramatic incident in which a woman reported her car wouldn’t slow down or stop on a busy interstate.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol released footage of the 20-year-old female driver named Emma telling a 911 dispatcher that her car was failing to stop as she drove on Interstate 77. The dispatcher, Becky, is heard trying to keep Emma calm and suggesting how she might stop the vehicle.
Troopers are seen following her car and positioning themselves around her to warn traffic not to approach. The dispatcher tells Emma to pull her emergency break, and the footage shows the car slowing down and coming to a stop.
