Aubrey Plaza is starting her end-of-year shopping and she’s looking to add some new chic and warm staples to her wardrobe. The actress, who starred in the 2020 holiday film Happiest Season, is set to make her stage debut in the off-Broadway revival of Danny and the Deep Blue, premiering at New York City’s Lucille Lortel Theatre on Nov. 13.
The 39-year-old chatted with InStyle and dished about how her style is changing this winter and what sorts of pieces she’s gravitating toward.
“I’m actually very excited to whip out my New York fall wardrobe. I’m feeling a very Annie Hall [1977 rom-com starring Diane Keaton] vibe this year, like long skirts and vests and layers,” Plaza said. “I love being in New York in the fall because it motivates me to actually dress myself when I go out the door in the morning. But I’ll be in rehearsals, so I’ll have to adopt this kind of stage flair, whatever that means.”
The White Lotus alumna added that she’s in the market for an “iconic, classic peacoat” to pair with some big glasses—inspired by 93-year-old actress Gena Rowlands.
Below are three peacoats to update your personal outerwear collection in order to match the Delaware native. And, Aubrey, if you’re reading—we’re huge fans and we’ve got you covered.
