John Terry has a bit of spare time on his hands this winter as he recovers from an injury – and he’s spending it flashing the cash.

Not real cash though, Monopoly money to be exact, as the Aston Villa captain this week revealed he has a personalised gold board worth nearly £5,500.

The 37-year-old former Chelsea legend has a broken metatarsal is not expected to return to action until the new year with the Championship club.

So he has quite literally had to put his feet up and has been enjoying some downtime with his family by wheeling and dealing in the property trading game, complete with gold houses and hotels.

Terry showcased his expensive toy on Instagram as he made thousands of his followers envious with a glimpse of the item.
