Ashley Roberts reveals I’m A Celeb crew gave her banned item in unaired scene
Ashley Roberts has revealed how a crew member on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! broke the show’s rules by giving her a banned item during one unaired scene. The former Pussycat Doll appeared in the I’m A Celeb jungle back in 2012 alongside the likes of Brian Conley, David Haye and Helen Flanagan.
During her time on the show, Ashley, 43, made it all the way to the final after proving her strength and bravery in its Bushtucker Trials. However, the Buttons singer finished the show as a runner up after Charlie Brooks was crowned Queen of the Jungle.
12 years after her stint Down Under, Ashley has opened up on her time on the show and has revealed how a crew member allowed her to have a sip of Gatorade during a moment that never made its way onto our screens. Despite the rule break, the Strictly Come Dancing star added that it wasn’t something to complain about.

“That was towards the end and it was hot, and I was like, oh, it was heaven. Absolute heaven,” she told The Sun. “So it's literally like, what you see is what you get. I mean, yeah, the guy who comes in and changes your battery will not speak to you.
“I kept trying to break him and make jokes and kind of see if I could get him to have a little chit chat with me.
Ashley’s chat comes as the final three campmates on this year’s series wait to see who will be crowned the new winner of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!. After former Strictly pro Oti Mabuse became the ninth star to be eliminated from the show, Danny Jones, Coleen Rooney and Reverend Richard Coles became the final three contestants.
Following her departure, Oti told hosts Ant and Dec how she managed to succeed in her Bushtucker Trials. “I expected to be nervous the whole time but when you're in there... my goal became to focus and get the job done. You tell yourself 'calm down, it's not about - you feed the children!'"
She also opened up on her favourite moment from her time in camp, explaining: “Everything. The conversations, getting to know new people, opening up... you come out as a stronger different person.”
Oti’s left fans fuming online, with some taking to X to express their disappointment. “I demand a recount Oti was robbed of the final. #ImACeleb,” wrote one. “Oti was ROBBED. She is my queen of the jungle!! #ImACeleb,” another added.
