And following the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Paris just over a week ago, she’s had a new bone to pick regarding their lack of diversity on the catwalk.
Two days ago she reacted in the most fantastic (and creative) way by posting an illustration of herself as a Victoria’s Secret angel along with the words “VICTORIA’S SECRET PLUS” on Instagram.
She captioned the picture by 18-year-old artist Annie Breen: “Watching the angels tonight like…”
Rather than criticising the current models, Graham brought up the issue with optimism by essentially asking: Why couldn’t Ashley Graham (or another model that falls into the ‘plus sized’ category), feature in a Victoria’s Secret show?
And she means it – recently, she told TMZ that “when Victoria’s Secret calls me and asks me to be on their runway, I’m going to say yes”.
Graham’s fanbase have unsurprisingly reacted to the post with oodles of support, with one writing:
“Love you, you make all of us younger ladies feel more comfortable in our body’s [sic].”
Another commented: “As a fellow plus size woman who loves @victoriassecret I can’t agree more. I’d walk in this.”
Others, meanwhile, have taken to contacting Victoria’s Secret themselves to protest the issue.
“YES !!!! I messaged @victoriassecret about having more diversity on the VS Fashion Show,” a fan posted.
We couldn’t agree more.
