Despite the extreme measures the Game of Thrones team took to keep its ending a secret, the gentle dripping of leaked info about the show's finale has turned into a full-on dribble of pointers and leads. It's still not loads, no, but it's better than radio silence.

The latest to tease season eight is Maisie Williams, who says Arya Stark's ending will be "beautiful" - funnily enough, that's exactly what Peter Dinklage said about Tyrion Lannister's trajectory - and "perfect", but that Arya will end the series "alone".

"I ended on the perfect scene," Williams told the Guardian. "I was alone – shocker! Arya’s always bloody alone. But I was alone and I had watched a lot of other people wrap. I knew the drill, I had seen the tears and heard the speeches."

It sounds like Arya's going to be absolutely pivotal in the final shakedown for control of Westeros too. "This season was quite big for me," Williams explained. "I had a lot more to do... mainly because there’s just less characters now, so everyone’s got more to do."

All this could just mean it was the last scene that Williams filmed as Arya in which she ended up alone - she did give her own impromptu speech after it, and then "drank loads of sake" - but either way, she's absolutely done with playing the part.

"I got to the end and I didn’t want more," Williams said. "I had exhausted every possible piece of Arya."

Williams also cleared up a lingering fan fight: how to pronounce Arya's name. "It’s Arr-ya," she said. "But I don’t like that, so I call her Arr-ee-ya." Let's call the whole thing off.
