Arlington Woman Inspects Damage to Mother's Car After She 'Drove Through a Tornado'

A motorist suffered only minor injuries on November 24, after her car was badly damaged driving through a storm in Arlington, Texas.

Footage of the vehicle’s condition was captured by the driver’s daughter, Jvette Fizer.

In the footage, shards of glass and debris are strewn across the interior of the car while the exterior is also badly damaged. Fizer tweeted that the damage happened when her mom “drove thru a tornado”.

There were multiple reports of damage and destruction in the Arlington area following the storm. The National Weather Service had multiple tornado warnings in place, but had yet to confirm any had touched down at the time of writing.

Speaking to Storyful, Fizer said her mother was taken to hospital for stitches, but seemed to be “OK otherwise”. Credit: Jvette Fizer via Storyful
