Ariana Grande struggled to keep debut beauty collection under wraps

Ariana Grande struggled to keep news of her brand-new make-up line a secret.

Last month, the 7 Rings singer began to tease the launch of R.E.M. Beauty, and over the weekend, she confirmed items in the cosmetics collection will be unveiled this fall.

In an interview with Allure magazine, Ariana revealed the range was comprised of eyeliner pens, liquid eyeshadows, a mascara, and lip glosses, and shared that she has had to keep the products under wraps for the past two years.

"Coveting the secret for the past two years and having testers and samplers in my purse, and people asking me, 'Oh, I love your highlight, what are you wearing?' And me being like, 'I don't know', sweating,'" she jokingly recalled to the publication. "It was so hard to keep a secret for this long."

Ariana's fans will no doubt be thrilled to learn of her plans to make a splash within the industry. Yet, the popstar noted that she thought long and hard about her venture, especially considering singers such as Lady Gaga, Selena Gomez, Halsey, Kesha, and Rihanna have already successfully established their own beauty brands.

"I've thought a lot about this, of course, because I don't want to just hop onto any bandwagons ever. I think that...I wear my peers' make-up as well, just like I listen to their music. I'm not going to say, 'Oh, there's too many female artists.' I love and I'm (a) huge fan of my peers that do both, and I think that it's just another way to tell stories. Because you can never have enough make-up, just like you can never have enough music," the 28-year-old insisted.
