And weirdly enough, Dalton Gomez filed at the exact same time.

After news of their separation broke earlier this summerAriana Grande and her future ex-husband, Dalton Gomez, officially filed for divorce. TMZ was the first to report the news, adding that Grande's lawyer, Laura Wasser, filed a motion on Monday, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for divorce. Gomez filed immediately after. Sources told the outlet that "they’ve been really caring and respectful of one another every step of this process."

People also confirmed the news, with sources telling the publication that the time between Feb. 20, which is when their respective filings say was the "date of separation," and today's news was due to the couple "taking their time together to slowly work through the details of the agreement privately."

The insider added that the separation is "kind and patient" and that both parties have "moved on."

Earlier, a source told People, "Ari has nothing but kind words to say about Dalton. During their marriage, he was her No. 1 fan.” Timing-wise, the friend noted that the marriage “didn’t work” once Grande went to film Wicked in London. The two married in a small, intimate ceremony on May 15, 2021, after announcing their engagement in Dec. 2020. People adds that Grande is currently dating her Wicked co-star and Ethan Slater. He filed for divorce from his wife Lilly Jay in July.

“The truth is, Ariana and Ethan didn’t begin seeing each other until after both parties were separated, respectfully,” a family friend previously explained.

"They are just trying to navigate their new relationship in private," a second source added. "They are doing their best to balance the fact that they are in the public eye with the desire to be respectful to all parties involved."
