To say today has been a roller-coaster is an understatement. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have given us the gift we’ve been waiting for with the announcement of another royal baby (hooray!). But in sadder news, Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson have reportedly split up and I’ve lost all faith that true love exists.

According to TMZ, the couple ended their five-month engagement over the weekend as it ‘wasn’t the right time’ for their relationship. Nope, still not over it.

Neither Ariana, 25, or Pete, 24, have spoken out on the reported break up just yet, with Pete instead deciding to delete his social media accounts all together.

Luckily, we have managed to get a tiny insight into what’s gone down between these two as the singer’s older brother, Frankie has shared a moving message on Instagram.

Seen standing beside waterfall Seljalandsfoss in Iceland, the Celebrity Big Brother star wrote, “Don’t cry over the past, it’s gone. Don’t stress over the future, it hasn’t arrived. Live in the present & make it beautiful.”

Wise words if you ask me.

Frankie has previously spoken out about his sister’s ex fiance, saying he was over the moon about the whirlwind engagement.

“I was so overwhelmed with her happiness and it just washed over me,” he told Billboard.

“It’s been a crazy journey for us over the past year, so this amazing news of happiness and joy was just, I received it so excitedly. I’m so excited for her. ‘I love Pete. It’s great, I have a new brother! Yay, more family members! We love family.”

Despite Frankie’s hopes for a new brother, apparently Ariana’s friends and family saw the split coming as according to PEOPLE, “It was way too much too soon."

With an insider adding, “It’s not shocking to anyone.”

It's still totally and utterly shocking to me BTW.

There is some light at the end of the tunnel as sources have told TMZ the pair still ‘have love for each other’ and ‘aren’t ruling out the possibility of anything in the future’.
