Arby’s menu is about as robust as it gets at a fast food restaurant. While it’s known for having “the meats,” like roast beef, brisket, chicken, turkey, and even sometimes wagyu, Arby’s offers more fan favorites outside of the hearty, meaty options. From its beloved fish sandwiches to the iconic curly fries and tasty milkshakes, Arby’s practically has something for everyone.
Even though the curly fries are what sets Arby’s apart from its competitors, they’re not the only fan-loved side dish available at the restaurant. Some Arby’s customers might opt for crinkle-cut fries or even mozzarella sticks to go with their Beef ‘N Cheddar sandwich.
True Arby’s lovers remember the fried Potato Cakes, which graced the menu until they were replaced by the crinkle-cuts. Arby’s discontinued the hash brown-like offering in 2021, much to the dismay of many—so many, in fact, that Arby’s received more than 10,000 requests to bring the side back.
In 2024, Arby’s obliged, releasing the Potato Cakes for a limited time in honor of the chain’s 60th birthday. Now, after that successful short stint, Arby’s has decided that Potato Cakes have earned their way back onto the permanent sides menu.

Arby’s Adds Potato Cakes to Its Permanent Menu
As of Feb. 24, the crispy, fried Potato Cakes are a permanent fixture on Arby’s menu. Still think it’s too good to be true? Well, Arby’s is putting its money where its mouth is by creating a “pre-class action lawsuit” that states if the chain ever removes the Potato Cakes again, it will pay $1 million to disgruntled customers.
To opt into this ironclad deal, all you have to do is sign the pre-class action lawsuit on Arby’s site or call 1-833-LAW-SPUD (1-833-529-7783). Then, if Arby’s ever axes its Potato Cakes again, you’ll automatically be entitled to part of the $1 million payout.
But don’t wish the Potato Cakes away to get your check, because Arby’s is offering another deal just for signing. Once you sign the pre-class action lawsuit, you’ll receive free delivery and a free two-count of Potato Cakes when you order on DoorDash between Feb. 27 and March 5.
So, whether Arby’s takes its Potato Cakes away again or not, it’s a win-win for fried potato lovers everywhere.
