The Apprentice's Shama Amin quits show due its physical demands
The Apprentice contestant Shama Amin has quit the show after just three weeks because she could not keep with the "physical demands" of the tasks.
The 41-year-old children's day nursery owner and mother-of-five was among the aspiring entrepreneurs competing for an investment of £250,000 and mentoring from 74-year-old magnate Lord Sugar on the BBC reality show.
But Amin is set reveal in this week's show that she suffers from rheumatoid arthritis and feels unable to carry on.
She reveals: “I would just like to say something, Lord Sugar if that’s Okay. I suffer from a condition called rheumatoid arthritis.

“Because of medical reasons, due to this process being so physically demanding, despite the efforts the whole team has made to support me, I’ve had to make a difficult decision to leave the process.”
She later tells cameras: "Mentally, I was strong enough to carry on. But my body wasn’t allowing me to carry on. So I had no choice but to make a difficult decision like that."
The next episode of the business reality show will see the 13 remaining hopefuls tasked with creating and branding a new non-alcoholic drink.
Last week saw former professional rugby player Conor Gilsenan fired by Lord Sugar after the boys team lost the toothbrush task.

They failed to secure any orders for their brown magic wand themes electric toothbrush aimed at children, after buyers felt it looked to much like something that might be found floating in a toilet.
It was the second week in a row that the boys team had lost the task, and the second time their designs had been compared to sewage after they chose to make their cruise ship logo a brown wave.
It is the 16th series of The Apprentice, which last aired in 2019, when it was won by artisan bakery owner Carina Lepore.
Lord Sugar insisted that all the candidates on the latest series be double-vaccinated against coronavirus before they could take part.
Remaining contestants include a former contestant for US dating show The Bachelor, an Italian-born pharmacist who is heir to a multi-million pound fortune and an online pyjama-store owner who took part in Channel 4's The Island with Bear Grylls.
