Apple has revealed one of its highly-anticipated 2020 launches: the new iPad Pro.

The updated iPad sees numerous new and innovative additions, which use advanced technologies that have never before been available in mobile computing.

From its A12Z Bionic chip that makes it more powerful than most computers, to its augmented reality abilities, it’s without a doubt the highest performing iPad to date.

It’s available to buy in both 11-inch and 12.9-inch sizes - the 11-inch display retailing from £769, whereas the larger size starts from £969.

Here’s everything you need to know about the new iPad Pro:

Functions

Much like other new Apple products, the new iPad’s camera has been updated to pro status. It now has wide and ultra wide lenses which boast 12mp resolution.

It also features a LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) scanner that is so advanced it’s being used by NASA for the next Mars landing mission.

Why do you need it on your iPad, you ask? It means your iPad is now ready for the future and all augmented reality possibilities.

The updated Liquid Retina edge-to-edge display also means you can immerse yourself into your work, Netflix or creative projects.

Speed

The new iPad has a A12Z Bionic chip, meaning it’s faster and more powerful than most Windows PC laptops.

This means you can do pretty much all your usual computer functions from the iPad such as editing 4k video.

The Magic Keyboard

One of the most exciting new functions is the announcement of Apple’s ‘Magic Keyboard’, which has a floating design that attaches magnetically so that you can adjust it to the perfect viewing angle.

The full-size keyboard and trackpad basically converts your iPad into a full-on computer, giving to enhanced versatility.

The keyboard will be available to purchase in May.
