See-through details were a major trend at this year's Critics' Choice Awards - which isn't totally surprising given how celebrity style's been getting a lot more daring recently. On the red carpet, Janelle Monáe and Lily James debuted their own spins on the sheer look, but the outfit we're here to talk about in detail is Anya Taylor-Joy's.
The actor, who recently starred in both The Menu and The Northman, arrived at the awards show in a dazzling gold design. Wearing a structured Dior Haute Couture dress, featuring scalloped shaped details, Anya serves a fashion spin on the #mermaidcore trend. The opaque spaghetti strap top has a cinched waist, with the design then transforming into a see-through A-line skirt through which you can see her matching bodysuit.
The actor finished the look with a 20-carat Tiffany & Co. diamond pendant necklace and embellished Jimmy Choo heels.
Yep, there's no denying she looks amazing.
As for her hair and makeup, Anya's statement top knot (complete with those loose, face-framing strands) is giving me major high school flashbacks - in the best way:
Just last week, Anya turned heads at the Golden Globes in another Dior number. Rather than doubling up on the neutral colour palette, Anya's previous red carpet look was a zesty lemon yellow design featuring a two-piece bandeau and skirt combo, teamed with a Y2K-esque hairstyle.
