Anya Taylor-Joy flashes her bum in open-back mini dress that laces all the way up
If you thought Anya Taylor-Joy's style streak ended when she left the French Riviera, guess again. The actress kicked off the 2024 Cannes Film Festival with a series of stunning 'fits. We're talking a see-through dress and straw hat, a tasselled swim cap and coordinating ensemble, and not forgetting her chic but affordable Damson Madder blouse.
However, she didn't hang around, instead jetting to London to continue promoting her latest film, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga. She stayed serving in a 3D floral leotard, merging the no trousers and corsage trends in one stunning look. But it turns out all her previous outfits were building up to her latest and most jaw-dropping look.
Spotted out in New York yesterday [Wednesday 22 May] ahead of an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Anya wowed in a red leather mini dress from the Mugler autumn winter 2024 ready-to-wear collection.
As well as asymmetric sleeves, the fabric of the dress was draped and strategically placed to create almost a wet-look effect that hugged Anya's body in a perfect fit. She added a statement silver cuff bangle to one wrist and wore red court shoes on her feet.
But just as Bella Hadid teased us in her totally backless vintage Dsquared2 gown earlier this week, Anya was also hiding a *big* reveal at the back. She pulled her long blonde hair up into a high ponytail to make sure the rear of the dress was on full display. Okay, okay, enough teasing – check it out for yourself:
Yep, the design featured an entirely open back with the dress held together with 12 thin leather belts fastened in a lace-up corset style. The belts weren't fully fastened though, cheekily flashing a look at Anya's bum. Paired with the micro hem length, this really is risqué attire!
We only have one word: wow.
