It's not her usual look.

Kate Garraway proved she's game for a laugh on Daybreak today though, as she tried out a hilarious new Japanese invention - The Face Slimming Mouth Exerciser.

Promising the 'perfect visage' without resorting to the cosmetic surgeon's knife, the utterly bonkers invention just needs to be popped in your mouth for three minutes a day while exercising your mouth.

According to Japan Trend Shop, which sells the gadgets, you can: "Fight wrinkles around your eyes and help shape the overall look of your face, whether in front of the mirror, in the bath or at any other convenient time every day.

"The movements are given extra load by the mold, forcing everything to work a bit harder and resulting in more youthful, vibrant faces."

The mouth piece costs $61 (£39), which seems a little steep for a piece of rubber.

But as Kate discovered this morning, it's tricky to get much else done while wearing the invention - as Kate jokingly tried to sing the vowels.

Yet as Kate will be pleased to know, that's not the only plastic-surgery alternative on offer. You can also avoid turning to Botox for forehead wrinkles by wearing a... plaster.

The Forehead Stretcher is a butter-fly shaped 'A-ge Liner' that promises to combat the signs of ageing in just 15 minutes a day. You stick it to your forehead and forget about it. "You will hardly notice it's there", claims the site. Others might, however. But at $18 (£11.50), it's certainly cheaper than having fillers.

And now we come to our personal favourite, the vibrating Facial Lift At Once Face Trainer $77 (£49). This little baby can be used for three minutes each day and pulses at four different strength levels to tone your facial muscles and give you a lift.

As the site says, "If only running a marathon could be as easy!".

Though they all look a little bonkers, we're slightly tempted. Surely exercising your facial muscles is better for you than injecting stuff to stop them working?

Though perhaps we'll start slow with facial yoga...
