Current government guidelines advise face masks, or coverings, should be worn in the UK in enclosed spaces such as on public transport and when visiting some shops to help defend against contracting the coronavirus.

According to Public Health England (PHE), a cloth face mask should cover your mouth and nose while allowing you to breathe comfortably.

There are not suitable for children under the age of two or those who may find it difficult to manage them correctly, such as primary school-age children and those with respiratory issues.

Since the government released the above guidelines on 11 May, there’s been an increase in brands selling non-medical face masks and coverings - but many styles remain sold out.

Luckily, we’ve found somewhere that is selling a set of three cotton face masks, each boasting an attractive pattern, for £18.

While not available immediately, they’re available on backorder from June 19.

Anthropologie’s Sanctuary Organic Cotton Reusable Face Masks offer a comfortable fit that's perfect for everyday use.

Its reusable design can be disinfected or washed after each wear, minimising your exposure and optimising your safety and ease - as well as the safety and ease of others.

Plus, they mean that you don’t need to spend hours trying to turn a thick pair of pyjamas into a mask - particularly when the heatwave is set to continue.
