Ant McPartlin's wife Anne-Marie 'gave birth to son Wilder at posh hospital with royal connection'
Ant McPartlin last night announced he's welcomed his first child - a son called Wilder - with wife Anne-Marie Corbett.
The couple delivered their new arrival at a posh private hospital with a special royal connection, according to The Sun.
The Britain's Got Talent host, 48, announced the happy news on his and Ant McPartlin's joint social media account on Tuesday 14 May, sharing a black-and-white photograph of himself cradling his newborn son.
Ann-Marie, 46, who is already a mum to daughters Poppy and Daisy from her previous marriage, reportedly gave birth to the little one at The London Clinic, the same hospital where King Charles and Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, have been receiving their cancer treatments.
Anne-Marie delivered baby Wilder just before 9am on Tuesday, with Ant later announced the news on Instagram, writing: "Welcome to the family. Wilder Patrick Mcpartlin. Born, 14/05/24 at 8.54am Baby is beautiful, Mummy’s a legend, Sisters are over the moon. Dad’s a mess!"
The hospital, which is on Devonshire Place in the City of Westminster, describes itself as offering "world-class" healthcare and its Patron is Queen Camilla.
It opened its doors on 18 February 1932, and now sees around 120,000 patients a year from all around the world. Its website says: "The intention was for The London Clinic to be the first private institution in Britain to cater for all aspects of a modern hospital, to the highest of standards, with the best services, equipment and clinicians.
"Since that time, our hospital has grown into one of the UK’s largest and most highly regarded, in London and internationally, always with the mantra of providing exceptional patient care."
Rumours of Anne-Marie's pregnancy surfaced earlier this year and she was photographed at various stages with what looked like an obvious baby bump, but the couple never officially announced their news.
According to The Sun, a source previously commented on the baby news, saying: “This is the news everyone wanted. Ant and Anne-Marie are beyond delighted. It’s no secret that Ant has always wanted children, but that it may never happen for him was something he had, sadly, come to terms with."
In the new photo, Ant also showed off his new tattoo of a huge blossoming tree with the names - Amzie (presumably for his wife Anne-Marie), and the names of his two step daughters, Daisy and Poppy, along with his two pet dogs - Milo and Bumble.
