Anne Hathaway suffered every actress' worst nightmare on the Oscars 2013 red carpet tonight.

The Les Miserables actress, who is nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the Academy Awards, showcased the pastel trend in a pink satin Prada gown - but sadly had a major wardrobe malfunction.

The halterneck pink dress left little to the imagination, meaning poor Anne revealed more than she meant to on the red carpet.

Speaking to presenter Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet, it was clear to see the newly-married star wasn't wearing a bra - with her nipples clearly visible under the dress.

The fashion faux pas could have been a result of Anne's last-minute Oscars red carpet choice, as she told Ryan she made a decision just hours before the ceremony began.

She told him: "My dress is Prada. I didn't know what I was wearing until three hours ago!

"This was the one that spoke to me in the end."

The dress may have revealed too much at the front but was elegant from the back, with a cross back bow and a diamond-encrusted necklace making for a stunning rear view.

Anne Hathaway's unfortunate wardrobe malfunction comes after she showcased her fashion prowess to perfection as she promoted Les Miserables around the world.

The actress has shown her confidence when it comes to wearing the latest trends, wowing us in a sleek, black gown with a metallic bust at the BAFTAs 2013.

But it's not the first time the actress has had a serious faux pas.

She famously flashed a lot more than she intended when she was snapped in a Tom Ford creation at the New York premiere of Les Miserables, where the paparazzi got a under-her-skirt shot.
