HBO's new streaming service HBO Max has just announced a new animated satire series based on Prince George and his family, titled The Prince.
The upcoming TV platform shared the news on Twitter on Tuesday 21 January and revealed a first-look at the series' cartoon characters.
Here is everything we know about the planned series:
What is the new cartoon about the royal family, The Prince?
First things first, the show is satire. It will chronicle the royals from American writer Gary Janetti's point of view.
The show will take a look at the royals through the eyes of Prince George, the heir to throne and eldest child of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who Janetti has invented an internet-famous alter-ego for on social media in recent years.
Who is Gary Janetti and how has his Instagram account inspired this?
Janetti is a writer and producer who has most notably written for another boundary-pushing cartoon series, Family Guy. He was also the executive producer of Will and Grace.
However, the majority of social media users know him for is his Instagram account which is devoted to making memes of Prince George, inventing an alter ago for the royal that makes him out to be a ruthlessly ambitious, pompous, catty, sweary and sarcastic.

Janetti's account currently has almost 900,000 followers, including several high-profile people who often interact with the Prince George-focussed posts such as Kate Beckinsale, Elizabeth Banks, Sophie Turner and Amy Schumer.
Janetti announced the news of his latest venture on Instagram on Tuesday in typical fashion with the caption: 'George is pleased.'

Will Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton be in The Prince?
Yes. Both Duchesses, Prince George, Prince William, Prince Harry, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, the Queen, Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall and a character called Owen - who will be George's fictional butler - will all be depicted in the cartoon.
The first pictures of the cartoon characters, released by HBO, are really quite something.
Which actors are the voiceovers in The Prince?
According to Variety, the characters' voices have already been allocated to certain actors and there are some big names among the cast.
On Sunday November 1, Janetti revealed that Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner will voice Princess Charlotte's character in the upcoming series.
‘Charlotte, Louis and I are going as the three little pigs – so cute, right?’ George says in the clip, before his younger siblings ruin his Halloween costume plans, with the princess dresses as Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz and the younger prince as a vampire.

Turner reacted to the announcement, sharing the clip on her Instagram Stories with the caption: 'Charlotte is coming! And I couldn't be more honoured to join this cast and go on this fun/filled adventure with @garyjanetti. [sic]'
Voicing Prince Harry is Orlando Bloom, Kate Middleton will be played by the hilarious Lucy Punch (St Trinian's, New Girl, Hot Fuzz), Game of Thrones' and Misfits' Iwan Rheon will be Prince William, both Prince Philip and Prince Charles will be portrayed by Bohemian Rhapsody's Tom Hollander, The Good Wife's Alan Cumming will play butler Owen and Markle by Condola Rashad.
Janetti will voice George himself, naturally.
When is The Prince out and where can we watch it?
No details on a release date have been given yet, but the programme has been ordered by HBO's streaming service HBO Max, which is yet to launch.
