When Angelina Jolie recommends a skincare product, we listen.

Speaking in a recent British Vogue clip, as part of their March 2021 cover shoot, the 45-year-old actor revealed that — aside from her 'big mom bag' which contains things like snacks, phones books and t-shirts — the must-have contents of her sleek tote bag always include her signature pair of aviator sunglasses, some chocolate and her favourite face oil. Or as Jolie calls them: her 'small pleasures in life.'

In the video, the mum-of-six looks glowing — with one fan calling her 'the most beautiful woman of the world' in the video comments — which leaves us eager to find out more about this magical facial oil, and if it will have the same effect on our complexions.

The facial oil in question is Guerlain's Abeille Royale Youth Watery Oil — made from such decadent ingredients like Ouessant Black Bee Honey and exclusive Royal Jelly. Described as combining the power of 'a serum, the richness of an oil and the freshness of a lotion' — it claims hydration will be increased by 92% after application, and the formula contains little 'micro-drops' of oil which are released onto the skin at the last minute, to leave it feeling 'baby soft.'

According to the rave reviews on various beauty sites, these claims may well be true — with one shopper hailing the oil 'a little bottle of luxury,' while another five-star reviewer lamented: 'If only I’d found this years ago,' saying that they'd been 'astounded by the results.'

One fan added that while her skin looked plump, 'glowy and youthful', she'd recommend the product for mature skin due to the heavier nature of the oil. Which sounds like it'd have best results if used at night.

As expected, the luxury oil favoured by the Maleficent star is no bargain, ringing in at £105 for a full-sized 50ml bottle — but the good news is, the serum is currently on sale at Feelunique, knocking the price down by 13% to £91, and if that's not a big enough discount for you, you can also nab the 15ml smaller version for a very reasonable £41 from Selfridges.
