Pfeffer Sal is one of the beauty realm’s best-kept secrets.

Its salon, tucked on a picture-perfect mews in Fitzrovia, is a hub of high-tech lotions, potions and gadget which are utilised by the salon’s bevy of dermal therapists. Nobody leaves Pfeffer Sal without one serious glow-up, and it’s all thanks to its founder, ex-Melbournian and self-confessed beauty junkie, Andrea Pfeffer.

Pfeffer founded the salon in 2015 and it has since become a go-to for those in the know who are seeking a glow. Don’t just take our word for it - take yourself down to Warren Mews after April 12 to discover the magic for yourself. We caught up with Pfeffer to chat all things skincare, self-care and why TEKLA bedding is the gift that keeps on giving.

What does 2021 look like at present moment for you?

Although the year is getting off a little slower than I would have wished I think it’s going to be a busy one! We are gearing up for opening the clinic doors and preparing for the launch of an incredibly exciting client skin health digital portal in the spring.

I am actually really excited about the year ahead as 2020 really gave us a chance to reflect and reset. Now it’s all about putting those insights into action at home and at work!

What are you doing differently this year?

Great health! My hubby and I started the year with a nutritional consultation with Eve Kalinik and have been working on optimising our nutritional intake and wellbeing. We have also been incorporating much more movement and exercise into our daily lives which we all know makes you feel so good!

What have been your five wardrobe staples you’ve been wearing whilst WFH?

Tracksuits, socks, slippers, E.L.V. Denim jeans and Christopher Kane bedazzled knitwear. Cosy, comfy staples.

What’s your skincare routine?

Gosh I do like to mix it up and I am often trying new products or ingredients but currently, in the morning I cleanse and use Esse Toner Plus, Pfeffer Sal Essential Serum, Esse Probiotic Serum, Elequra Eye Architecture, ADC Moisturiser and SPF.

And in the evening, I cleanse again and use Esse Toner Plus, Elequra Radiance Accelorator serum, Cosmetics 27 Baum 27. Once or twice a week I also use a sleep mask, such as Synergie Masque Erase.

What is the one item you can’t live without?

The Pfeffer Sal Essential serum - it hydrates, plumps and gives great glow!

How do you incorporate time for yourself into your schedule?

It’s not easy with two toddlers but I in the morning I workout with my PT @Jayne.Lo at least twice a week and then try go for a really long walk every other day along the canal which is a great time to chat to friends, family or listen to a podcast.

If I am lucky I can even squeeze in a morning pamper session including the Dermalux I borrowed from the clinic during lockdown .. yes, literally #livingmybestskinhealthlife!

Then once the kids go to bed I am definitely guilty of regularly Netflix and chilling.

What has been your favourite guilt-free pandemic purchase?

TEKLA bedding. I don’t think there would be a mum alive that wouldn’t say one of life’s greatest luxuries is their (beauty!) sleep, and nothing adds to the experience better than wrapping up in Tekla gorgeous linens whilst dreaming.

What’s the one beauty product you wish more people knew about?

Vitamin B as a MUST HAVE ingredient rather than one product as such … it is the surest route to a health robust skin barrier which you need if you want to achieve your best skin. Dn’t tell but we may even have something a little exciting in development… shh!

Pfeffer Sal is re-opening on April 12. Book in here.
