Noel Gallagher’s daughter has said she is “less revolutionary” than her famous dad and doesn’t share his thoughts on face masks.

Oasis star Noel, 53, hit the headlines last month when he said he would not wear a face covering despite the coronavirus pandemic, suggesting that it violated his liberty.

However, Anais, his 20-year-old daughter with Meg Mathews, isn’t following in the rocker’s footsteps.

She told Metro: “I get where he’s coming from but I’m less full-on than him.

“I’m generally less revolutionary than my dad.”

“I’ve never not worn a mask,” she said.

Anais added that her generation is “quite lenient” and that they are afraid of being “cancelled”.

Last month, Noel sparked controversy when he voiced his thoughts on wearing masks during a chat on the Matt Morgan podcast. It was not clear whether his comments were made before the law on masks came into effect.

The government says that in England, face coverings must be worn in many indoor settings including shops, supermarkets and on public transport.
