Amber Tamblyn announces utterly ridiculous baby name - and people aren't quite sure what to think
The US actress Amber Tamblyn and her husband, comedian and actor David Cross, have welcomed a new baby daughter – and, as per modern tradition, have taken to social media to announce the name of the new arrival.
"David and I are proud to announce the birth of our daughter, Dauphinoise Petunia Brittany Scheherazade Von Funkinstein Mustard Witch RBG Cross Tamblyn-Bey jr.," wrote 127 Hours and Two and a Half Men star Tamblyn in a post on Tuesday, as she shared a video of her daughter's foot via Instagram.

For some reason (we can't think why), it's been suggested that the couple are perhaps not being altogether serious in their professed choice of name.
Despite this, in the three days since the birth was announced, a few individuals reacted with outrage and disbelief to the unusual moniker.

Comparisons were also made to Uma Thurman, whose daughter Rosalind Arusha Arkadina Altalune Florence Thurman-Busson was born in 2012.
Others, however, have responded more playfully.
"Dauphinoise, what a beautiful name! My daughter is Amphibious Siphon Badgerface :) Congratulations guys!" wrote one commenter on Instagram.
Little Dauphinoise (or "Mustard Witch", as some fans have suggested she should be nicknamed) is the couple's first child.
